Obverse: Saint Michael angel with halo spearing a dragon within a beaded border within a plain border. A copper-alloy coin weight of Medieval date. Withers and Withers (1995: 44) suggest that the image on this coin identifies it as French, and probably relating to the agnel d'or of Philip IV (1268-1314), or the mouton d'or of Jean le Bon (1319-1364) and Charles VI (1368-1422). The weight is rectangular in plan, measuring 10.1mm long by 9.8mm high. The upper surface bears the relief-cast image of a lamb, standing left and holding a banner, its head turned to the right. There does not appear to be any legend. The underside of the weight is plain. It is 4.9mm thick and weighs 3.28g.

A copper-alloy 16th century biface coin weight produced in Antwerp by Cornelius Janssen and dated to 1583 AD. It is flat, square in shape measuring 15.33mm in length, 15.21mm in width, and 2.86g in weight. The cross motif of the reverse face of this weight probably indicates its usage for weighing Spanish or Portugese coinage, although it falls a little under the standard weights for both the Spanish escudo (3.38g) and the Portugese cruzado (3.5g). A square, uniface, medieval, copper-alloy coin weight for the French ecu, c. 1422-1475. It depicts a crowned shield containing three fleurs-de-lis, flanked by the letter H on each side, all within a beaded circle. Weights of this type with initials flanking the shield are known to be of French manufacture. It is 15.3mm long, 14.4mm wide, and 2mm thick. It weighs 2.53gm. A square, double-sided coin weight of Post-medieval date. This Low Countries weight appears to have been issued for a Flanders half lion coin. It was made at Antwerp, possibly by the maker 'KI' (see Withers and Withers 1995: 61), in 1576*. It measures 15.3mm long, 14mm wide and 1.6mm thick. It weighs 2.17g. The surfaces are very worn and corroded.

A cast copper alloy coin weight of Post-Medieval date. It is square in shape with bevelled edges and extensive parallel toolmakrs on both front and back faces. The front face depicts a ship with tall mast within an inner circle. The ship appears to have a rose at the centre of the hull, which would indicate the weight's usage for weighing whole and fractional denominations of the Ryal. A copper-alloy coin weight, probably for a half or quarter noble. This weight is illustrated in 'Lions, ships and angels' (Withers, 1995, p. 20). It was made in Antwerp by an unknown maker (see Withers, p. 60). The weight is rectangular in plan. The obverse bears a circular panel depicting a ship, with a letter 'h' (for 'Henricus') located to the right of the mast. A copper alloy Medieval coin weight. It is a uniface round weight, bearing a figure on horseback riding right with a sword in hand. It is 14.5mm x 14.2mm x 2.9mm, and weighs 3.38g. This weight was probably French and made for a cheval of Jean II (1350-1364) or Charles V (1364-1380). The weight is without a legend. This weight is similar to an example in 'Identifying coin weights found in Britain' by P and B R Withers (p.32).

It is uniface with faceted edges, the obverse depicting the letters I and D separated by a vertical row of three pellets, all within a quatrefoil and inner circle of pellets. The weight measures 14.36mm in height, 15.47mm in width, 1.81mm in thickness, and weighs 2.40g. Withers and Withers (1995: pp. 9) note that hexagonal coin weights are either Anglo-Gallic or French in origin and date to the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries AD. This example should be of similar date and origin, the letters perhaps a maker's mark.
