Cast unifaced lead token. The token is decorated with a six petalled flower overlaid by c.25 pellets apparently randomly spaced. The token is 26.1mm in diameter, 2.3mm thick and weighs 11.4grams. Tokens with such simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period but those with flower designs are generally considered to date from the late medieval or eary post medieval period so a general date of 1400-1650 AD is given.

Issued by Thomas Tompson at Guildford in 1657 and marked with the woolsack and castle from the towns arms. Williamson (1967: 1132, No.126) catalogues an identical example and suggests Thomas Tompson may have been a Quaker and was an "approved man" and Baliff of the town.

A Post Medieval copper alloy incomplete medallion commemorating Vice Admiral Vernon (mid-late 18th century). The medallion celebrates the capture of the Spanish Carribean depot of Porto Bello in the isthmus of Panama in November 1739. Obverse: Vice Admiral Edward Vernon stood facing with a tree to the left Obverse inscription: VIC[---] Reverse: Five masted ships and the harbour of Porto Belllo Reverse inscription: [---] Die axis measurement: 12.00 Dimensions: diameter: 33.10mm; thickness: 2.78mm; weight: 6.84g.

Copper alloy Medieval french jetton, struck in Tournai, dating 1461-1497.The jetton is in good condition, however the reverse legend is unclear. Similar to Mitchiner 601-601. The obverse legend reads VIVE LE ROI VIVE LE ROI. The reverse legend is unclear. Mitchener does not have a direct parallel for this jetton. The obverse legend of this jetton does not feature on the 'three circles' of Tournai jettons inMitchener, however it is found on similar jettons with lis within a lozenge, rather than individual circles.

Copper alloy jetton. A French jetton, probably of the Tournai mint. The obverse shows the "Chatel Tournois" (the Castle of Tours)design of the town of Tours. No direct parallel found in the references, but similar to Barnard No 28. Barnard explains that the design of the Chatel Tournois varies so that the object on the top of the tower can be a cross, a lis or a crown. Dating from circa 1415 to 1497.

Copper alloy French jetton. The jetton matches one described in Barnard's 1981 'The Casting Counter and the Counting Board', page 121, number 71. The obverse shows a large crown in the centre with AVE written on its side. The obverse inscription reads: AVE MARIA GRASIA PLENA with double pellets between each word. The reverse is highly worn, but shows a cross formed of fleur-de-lisee with a mullet in the centre and encircled by mullets.
