1620-1625. Brass, cast, James I, square shaped biface gold angel coin weight. Gold angel coin weight when this was worth ten shillings (1620-1632) probably made in Cologne or Nuremberg. Obverse: Saint Michael angel with halo spearing a dragon within a beaded border within a plain border. Reverse: Crown over 'X.S' within a plain border (for ten shillings) over stamped in top left hand corner with a Royal cypher - crown over I for 'J' i.e. James.
