Medieval scottish coin; silver cut halfpenny of Alexander III, 1250-1280, probably Type III or IV (from small neat portrait), uncertain mint & moneyer. The flan is split, with one surface laminating away from the other, presumably a fault of the striking. Diameter 16.42mm, width 8.27mm, weight 0.72g.
