Medieval English copper alloy jetton. Obverse: King standing or enthroned under canopy, REX inscribed to right; reverse, quartrefoil surrounded by cross fleury. This type dates to c.1350-1400AD and was produced in both England and France. The legend and the punched dimple in the centre of the obverse suggest this is an English example (Saunders (ed.) 2001 page 218). See Mitchiner (1988) No. 272, page 122 for a similar example.
