Copper alloy Jetton or Casting Counter of probable late medieval or post medieval date (1450-1600). The Jetton is very worn and almost all detail has been removed, however, the size and thickness would suggest production in the low countries or Nuremburg during the late 15th or 16th centuries. The style of lettering in the inscription also confirms this dating. It is possible that the obverse design if that of a ship. This may narrow the dating to the period 1480-1530
