Obverse: Moulded 'spider web' design with a relatively large central pellet or 'spider' in the centre. Little wear but some minor damage probably by the plough to the flan at one point and the back, otherwise a pale grey patina. Ref. A cast lead, circular, unifaced token c. 1500-1850AD. One side is blank and the other has the letters C and D stamped on to the surface. There is a dot between the letters. Diameter 13.3mm, 1.4mm thick and weighs 1.4g. Tokens were used for a variety of things, were made locally and are difficult to date closely but those with initials are thought to be Post Medieval.
