Issued 1373-1415 - identification from UK Detector Finds Database, verified by Rod Blunt, and kindly supplied by the finder. Obverse description: A toothed and finny dolphin left, with rounded object below jaws. Obverse inscription: +?IN[---]IOR[---]O - the latter part of legend being unfamiliar rather than illegible. Copper-alloy jetton. Nuremburg issue. Arpad Tatar kindly suggests the following reading, amending an initial essay by this reporter which did particular violence to the obverse legend. Arpad notes that: 'The N must be read twice- as the first letter for Nürnberg'. His corrections are incorporated below.
