An incomplete copper alloy jetton. An unofficial English issue of mid-late C14th date.Broken into 3 pieces (modern break) and with a hole at the centre. Made in London.
The obverse legend is fictitious and the "lettering" unclear. The design is probably a shield.
The reverse has a triple stranded straight cross fleuretty with a fleur de lys in each angle. There is no margin and no tressure.

A copper alloy medieval French jetton, probably dating from c.1370-1415, struck for the Counts of Alban, Dauphins of Viennois. It is 25.7mm in diameter and 1.1mm thick. It weighs 2.98gm. There is not a jetton quite like this one in Mitchiner, but a similar example is Mitchiner, Vol.1, p.183, no 489.
