This copper alloy rose orb jetton was made by Hans Krauwinckel II in Nuremberg between 1586 and 1635. Its type is found commonly on the Thames foreshore. The obverse shows ‘three crowns, alternately with three Lis, arranged centrifugally revolving around a central Rose with 6 heart shaped petals’. The marginal inscription reads ‘ HANNS.KRAVWICKEL: IN.NVRENBE’ (Mitchiner 1988). On the reverse an imperial orb is depicted ‘surmounted by a cross patty, within a treasure with three main arches’- The marginal inscription reads ‘GLVCK. BESC[---] ISTVN[EWERT] (Mitchiner 1988)…

A Post Medieval copper alloy incomplete reckoning counter, Nuremburg ‘rose/orb’ jetton probably of Hans Krauwinckel II (AD1586-1635).
Obverse: Three crowns, alternately with three lis, arranged centrifugally around a central rose with eight petals.
Obverse legend: H[ANNS KRAVWINCKEL] IN NVR.
Reverse: Imperial orb surmounted by a cross patty, within a tressure of three main arches.
Reverse legend: GOTES SE [GEN MACHT REICH possibly].

Copper alloy jetton of the Duchy of Guelders. Obverse shows a lion rampant on a shield. The Lion has the two forked tail of Limburg - Guelders. The reverse shows a long, double strand, arctuate cross flueretty with a nail punch at the centre and single-tailed lions in the angles. Some damage to the edges.
