Post medieval Spanish coin; struck silver 1 real piece, most probably Carlos II (1665-1700), minted at Lima. The 85 in the bottom centre of the obverse probably relates to the date (1685). Obv. Three lines of inscription within a beaded border. Inscription divided by horizontal lines and by two vertical lines topped with foliate capitals L/I/[…] // PLV/SVL/[TRA] // R/85/[] Rev. Medieval coin; Scottish silver penny of Alexander III (second coinage 1280-1286), John Baliol (1291-1296), Robert the Bruce (1306-1329), David II (1329-1371) or Robert II (1371-1390). Probably Alexander III from what can be seen of portrait & style. Incomplete, roughly 1/3rd of the coin broken off. Length (not quite diameter) 17.9mm, width 14.6mm, weight 0.71g.
