Copper alloy counterstamped coin. The coin is highly corroded and no part of the original design is visible. It is counterstamped VIII with a small H or M above and the second and third II appear to be interupted by a circular counterstamp. It is probably a 8 maravedis of Felipe III (1598-1621) of Spain, but countermarked later under Felipe IV's reign (1621-1665) as an 8 maravedis 'resellado' which means 'resealed' or 'restruck'. 1490's Silver alloy, Spanish Ferdinand III and Isabella two reales coin. Length 22.3mm, Width 22.5mm, Thickness 0.8mm, Diameter 22.3mm, Weight 2.4g. Obverse: Elaborate heraldic shield. Inscription: []DVS ET EILSA(B)[]. Reverse: Curved bow with quiver of arrows and 'S' in the field. Inscription: []RE[](IVIA)[]A[]. Die axis: 5 o'clock or 11 o'clock. Light wear, attractive silver colour with slight grey tarnish but fairly heavily clipped with the outer section of the legend missing, some areas all the legend is missing. The coin has also a hand punched hole at 5 o'clock for suspension.

17th century copper alloy token. Probably a farthing token as the value is not given (as it almost always is on halfpenny tokens). Issued by Thomas Tompson at Guildford in 1657 and marked with the woolsack and castle from the towns arms. Williamson (1967: 1132, No.126) catalogues an identical example and suggests Thomas Tompson may have been a Quaker and was an "approved man" and Baliff of the town.

A silver 4 sols coin of Louis the XIV (1643-1715) of France. The reverse shows the monogram of Louis the XIV - crossed florid L's with a crown above and three fleur d'lis, this is the later form of reverse for this coin used during his reign.
