A late medieval hammered silver coin that is possibly of Spanish origin circa 1490. With very little remaining detail, the most obvious candidate is the two reales of Isabella and Ferdinand II. Isabella who was then the Queen of Castile and Leon (1451-1504) and Ferdinand II, the King of Aragon (1452-1516). The obverse has a yoke and fasces of arrows but the reverse is worn flat with no relief imagery remaining.

This is an unusual coin for the U.K. as it is a Double Patard of (father and son) Maximilian and Philip of Holland. It dates to the 15th century. The obverse displays a quartered shield of arms, the reverse an ornate cross fleury. The coin is in a distressed state and looks to have been hit by small lead shot, it has also been heavily clipped.
