A medieval silver coin; a continental coin (stirling imitation?) from Brussels, probably of Jan III the Victorious, Duke of Brabant (1312 – 1355). It has a diameter of 17.48mm, thickness 0.79mm, weight 1.18g. Ref. Vanhoudt G248. De Witte 307 (http://users.telenet.be/medievalcoins/Brabant.htm). Reference: J. Chautard, Imitations des monnaies au type esterlin frapées en Europe pendant le XIIIe et le XIVe siècle (Nancy, 1871), p.62, no.112 and Pl. IX, 9. Only two examples of this coin have been recorded on the pAs adatabase previously: LVPL-C97AA3 and CAM-CDDCD1

A copper alloy Chinese coin. The coin has a square central hole and raised rim. Four Chinese symbols can be seen on one side although they are so worn as to be illegible. The metal is a mid brownish-green colour.

Cut farthing of William I of Scotland (1165-1214), extending posthumously to c.1230, part of his 3rd coinage (short cross), most likely the variety without mint name from the EI visible on the obverse. The reverse, hVE gives the moneyer, Hue. Full rev- +hVE:WALTER or similar. The coins without mint name probably date from c.1214 into Alexander III's reign in the 1230s.

A silver coin; a 2 Stuivers coin of the Overyssel Province of the Netherlands. It dates from either 1612-1634 or 1677-1681. The date is under the legend on the reverse, but the coin has been struck off centre and it is illegible. It is probably KM 14 or KM 48. It has a diameter of 19.01mm, thickness 0.76mm, weight 1.13g.
