A medieval silver double petard of Charles the Bold of Burgundy dating 1467-1477. The coin has slight damage to a section of the edge. The obverse has a squared shield of Burgundy with a rampant lion at the centre and the legend +KAROLVS DEI GRA DVX BVRG CO FLA translating to Charles, by the grace of God Duke of Burgundy and Count of Flanders.The reverse has ornate short cross fleury expanded in the centre to contain a fleur de lys and the legend +SIT NOmEN DOmINI BENEDICTVm, which translates to May the Name of the Lord be Blessed. A medieval silver cut quarter of Alexander III of Scotland (1249-1286). First Coinage, Long cross and stars (Spink 5042-5048), possibly Spink 5048, dating to 1250 - c. 1280. Mint DVN.. Spink (2003).
Obverse: Crowned bust left. Reverse: Long cross and star. DV[N].
Very worn the coin measures 9.7mm in length, 8.9mm long, 0.6mm thick and weighs 3.3 grams.

A Continental Medieval silver sterling imitation of an Edwardian long-cross penny, of Gauchier of Châtillon (c.1260-1329), Constable of France, Count of Porcien and holder of the fief of Florennes (by right of his wife Isabelle of Rumigny, whom he married in 1313, until she died in 1322); minted at Yves, 1313-1322, Mayhew type 239. An example in Copenhagen with M on reverse appears to be the closest parallel, see 239d.
Measures 18mm, weighs 1.07g, die axis 9-10. The coin is probably plated, worn and bent with edge damage at one point.
