This coin is slightly clipped but otherwise complete and undamaged. It is 19.1mm in diameter, 0.6mm thick and weighs 1.3g.
Obverse: crowned bust facing. Crown is bifoliate, left jewel is arrow-shaped. Initial cross of wedges. Legend: EDWAR ANGL DNS hYB.
Reverse: long cross dividing the legend, 3 pellets in each angle. Legend: CIVI/TAS/LON/DON.
The lettering.is large. Letter Ns have incurved uprights…

A Medieval silver coin; a farthing of Edward I to Henry VIII, dating from AD 1272 - 1547. Both sides are illegible and the coin has been bent into an acutely angled S shape. In its current configuration it is 10.1mm long, 4.4mm wide and 0.3mm thick. It weighs 0.3g. Farthings of this size and mass were issued under Edward I to Henry VIII, though it is more likely to be from the earlier end of the range.
