A silver penny of Edward I. Berwick upon Tweed mint. The coin is a Blunt class 4a, Withers type 5a with a pellet on the neck and lombardic N in DnS in the obverse legend.
Struck from local dies. Both obverse and reverse dies have become worn and were probably rusty, giving a very poor strike as was common with these types of coins.
