A complete medieval silver long cross penny of Edward I (AD 1272 - 1307), probably class 3(g) dating to c. AD 1280 - 1282. Canterbury mint. As North (1991) no: 1022. Obverse shows facing bust with trifoliate crown, drapery of angled wedges; initial cross potent [+EDW R ANGL DNS hYB] Reverse depicts long cross witth three pellets in each angle [CIVI/TAS/CAN/TOR].
Diameter 18.7 mm, thickness 0.79 mm and weight 1.31 g.
