A single piece of irregular shaped copper-alloy casting waste of unknown date.
The object is approximately sub rectangular in shape and slightly curved in profile with a very mottled surface on all sides. It has a dark green patina with iron staining on one surface. It measures 45.01mm long, 43.33mm wide, is 10.54mm thick and weighs 51.68 grams.
The pieces are not distinctive and could be of any date from the Bronze Age onwards although they are evidence for specialist in high temperature metal working.

A complete copper alloy ring of a dark brown colour. The darker colouring may be due to waterlogged condition of the soil, and there are areas of wear and chipping where the green colouring of copper alloy are visible. The object is annular with a D-shaped cross section; it has a flat interior and a convex exterior. The centre has two groove. There is one groove at the top and bottom of the ring.
The dating of this object is diffuclt to specify, ranging from Bronze Age to Post-Medieval. It is possibly a harness ring, but could have had a number of uses.

A complete lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to Post Medieval dating circa (AD 43 - AD 1650).
The spindle whorl is sub circular in form with rounded curved edges. The central hole is sub circular in shape. The internal diameter of the hole measures 6.6 mm wide. Both upper and lower faces bear no trace of decoration.

A pot mend of uncertain Roman to Post-Medieval date c. AD 43-1900.
The mend is formed from a two broadly flat but irregularly shaped (sub-oval) faces connected by an projecting stem that extends from the centre of each panels inner face. No trace of pottery surrounds the stem. It has a dark grey colour.
The object is 25.6mm long, 20.5mm wide, 10.5mm thick and weighs 23.27 grams.

A broken silver circular artefact, probably an illegible coin of unknown date, Roman to Post-Medieval, about AD 250 - 1700. No detail is now visible, possibly as a result of burning. The incomplete coin is bent into a U shaped, and in broken into two pieces. The remaining portion of the artefact is 13.6mm in diameter and 0.5mm thick. It weighs 1.3g.

A complete copper alloy ring of unknown date.
The ring is oval in plan and almost hexagonal in cross section with bevelled front and back inner and outer faces. There are traces of a casting line extending around the outer edge. It is plain and has a dark green patina. The ring has a maximum diameter of 41.5mm, is 5.5mm wide, and 3.7 thick. It weighs 11.12 grams.
Plain rings such as these cannot usually be closely dated and served various functions such as harness fittings and dress accessory components.

A lead object, possibly a pendant of unknown date, Roman to Post Medieval, AD 43 - 1900. It has a flat oval head with an ovoid perforation at one end (length 3.5mm and width 2.2mm) which may have acted as a suspension loop. The hole appears to be worn at the top edge. The lower part of the pendant is a tapering strip of lead which is twisted into a spiral. The pointed end appears to be complete. It has a cream patina with orange-brown highlights. It is 30.7mm long, 8.3mm wide and 3.5mm thick. It weighs 2.5g.

An iron chisel, splitter or other tool of unknown date, Roman - Post Medieval, AD 43 - 1950. The chisel is wedge shaped at the widest point, although very rusted. It tapers sharply to the narrow end which is a rounded lozenge shaped in cross-section. Although it is thin at the wide working end, it is thicker towards the narrow end, possibly with slightly concave faces where it narrows. A copper alloy Bronze Age to Roman minature socketed axehead, dating from about 1000 BC - AD 410. The axehead has a narrow body, with a flared blade which is only gently curved. The body is roughly square in cross-section at the mouth. The side loop joins the double collar mouth moulding, is bevelled and has a circular hole through it. The hole is filled with iron corrosion. Unusually, there is a pronounced knob at each blade tip. The metal has a dark green patina. Measurements are; 31.1mm, width 32.5mm, thickness 8.7mm and weight 8.20g.

They are made from a rectangular strip of copper alloy, bent a loop in the centre, and with the ends angled inwards at about 30 - 35 degrees. They are not decorated. Description: The object is broadly cylindrical. One face is flat and is slightly indented, the other face is slightly angled and on the lower side of this there is a line which extends around half of the circumference creating an inner circle. The object has a rough, pitted texture and the surface is slightly faceted indicating hammering. The item has a green patina, with patches of grey over the whole surface.

A copper alloy object. It is sub rectangular in shape, one of the long sides has two sloping elements which form a shallow central point, both the short sides slope outwards to the bottom. This side has an extended central area. There are two holes, one in each of the top corners. It is very thin. There is a design and possibly writing on one face but this is no longer distinguishable. It is not possible to confirm the manufacturing process although the thickness may suggest that it was pressed, and therefore, along with the lack of imagery, there is no indication of age.

The irregularity of the form of this object would suggest this is not an intentional shape such that it is more likely to be the remains of the casting process.
