An unidentified copper-alloy and gilded object of Unknown date and uncertain function. This object is circular and the front is decorated with a 'triskele'-like motif. The motif is in the form of curvilinear lines forming three evenly spaced conjoined 'scrolls'. The front has a patterned border of continuous oblique lines. The reverse is flat and plain with whitish patches of corrosion. On the rear face, just below the protrusion, a small pale circular area is possibly a break. At the centre there are two sub-square holes with two smaller circular holes nearby. There are also two incomplete holes at one end. This object is reddish brown with bright green corrosion products at the front and rear. A fleck of gilding can be seen at the front. Length: 24.8mm; width: 23.0mm; thickness: 2.7mm. Weight: 3.02g.

The shaft widens from the hook to the centre and then narrows and becomes flat. The shaft is sub-triangular in cross-section and has a longitudinal ridge and groove at on side. This object is corroded and fragile and vaguely resembles an Iron Age to Roman cosmetic pestle. Length: 59.5mm; width: 8.7mm; thickness: 5.0mm. Weight: 5.46g.
