An incomplete undiagnostic silver-gilt object of Uncertain date.
This object is sub-triangular in plan, moulded at the front and flat at the rear. A scroll in each corner at the top is divided equally by a vertical ridge. Just to one side of the ridge a circular hole, c. 0.9mm in diameter, has been pierced from the front. There is an unfinished circular hole further down on the other side of the ridge. It is possible that there was hook at the pointed end. However, there is no obvious break. Silver can be seen at the top where there is a break.
Length: 14.7mm; width: 10.8mm; thickness: 1.9mm. Weight: 0.96g.
Due to the undiagnostic nature of the find it cannot be securely dated to pre-1718 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
