A complete possible spindle whorl of Unknown date (c. AD 43-c. 1800). The undecorated spindle whorl is sub-conical (domed) in form. The top is slightly flattened causing spreading of the metal and a reduction in hole size to about 6.0mm. It has a central vertical hole which has a diameter of about 7.5mm at the bottom. A small nick at the side has a raised a bump. This spindle whorl is smooth, off white and buff in places. Height: 10.5mm; maximum width: 20.3mm. Weight: 19.65g.

Holes on the underside were probably created by bubbles forming during casting. The remains of an imbedded iron wire suspension loop is visible at the top. The weight is off-white and the surface is slightly powdery with small areas of a buff patina. Height: 37.0mm; diameter: 34.1mm. Weight: 224.55g.
