Possibly lamp formed on an axe shaped stone. The shape of the stone may be fortuitous but has then had a recess pecked into it, and a shallower channel pecked in a rough curve coming out of it. These features are outlined on the second photo. The purpose of these modifications is unknown but it would have made a functional oil/fat lamp. When placed with the pecked feature uppermost, the object is stable.
