Undated copper alloy casting waste? One small casting droplet and a sub rectangular piece of worn metal. Left to right in photo L W T Wgt 17 15 6 2.42 30 28 6 32.43 These were found together and not far away form other signs of metal working recorded as LEIC-99FD63 which suggest signs of metal processing.

A group of undated fragmentary objects/ casting waste? Each object has a greenish/grey patina, with a hint of a shiny surface showing through in patches. The smallest is is in the form of a droplet or small casting sprue clearly diagnostic of metalworking. The next is roughly C shaped with a projecting triangular cross section. undated gold sheet, 15mm, long, 10mm wide and 0.25mm thick with a weight of 1.78g. The sheet is oval in form with a rectangular cross section. It is plain and appears to have been deliberately folded in half and then one edge has been folded over into the inside of the first fold. The objects full flattened length is c.28mm this and its form make it very similar to early Bronze age 'hair or basket ornaments' such as BERK-F548E6 and IOW-62FFD2, although this example has no decoration or the diagnostic rectangular projection usually found on these. Undated silver fragment, possibly from a vessel or mount? 25mm long, 20mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 10.96g. The object is sub rectangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has one straight edge with a rounded profile, the others being curved but irregular. On one surface, just below and running parallel to the straight edge, is an inlay of a copper coloured material which runs its length. The object appears to have been broken or cut from a larger object.

Undated copper alloy weight, 42mm long, 12mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 8.97g. The weight is ovoid in form and sub rectangular in cross section and has an integral ovoid suspenion loop at one end. The opposite end elongates slightly, forming a tear drop shape. The object has been roughly cast and whilst it is probably a weight, this cannot be confirmed. The surface has been affected by iron staining due to the presence of large amounts of ironstone in the ground. The colour otherwise could suggest a medieval or later date.
