Undated copper alloy casting waste? One small casting droplet and a sub rectangular piece of worn metal. Left to right in photo L W T Wgt 17 15 6 2.42 30 28 6 32.43 These were found together and not far away form other signs of metal working recorded as LEIC-99FD63 which suggest signs of metal processing.

Undated copper alloy weight, 42mm long, 12mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 8.97g. The weight is ovoid in form and sub rectangular in cross section and has an integral ovoid suspenion loop at one end. The opposite end elongates slightly, forming a tear drop shape. The object has been roughly cast and whilst it is probably a weight, this cannot be confirmed. The surface has been affected by iron staining due to the presence of large amounts of ironstone in the ground. The colour otherwise could suggest a medieval or later date.

Undated copper alloy spoon ? 120mm long, 25mm wide (at widest point) and 2mm thick with a weight of 6.27grams. The object consists of a long thin flat rectangular cross sectioned band which half way down its current length, becomes more rounded in cross section and narrows before terminating in a flat 'leaf' shaped plate. The plate appears to be decorated on one side with two incised lines which taper towards each other whilst running from where it joins the band to the oppsosite, slightly pointed end. Undated copper alloy object, 55mm long, 30mm wide and 15mm thick with a weight of 38.51grams. The object consists of a twisted rod, giving a rope effect, that has been folded into a knotted shape. Its form is similar to post medieval rope effect brooches, but there is no evidence for fittings. It could be also be part of a torc or similar early item of jewellery, but there is no sign of any terminals etc that could date it.

It consists of a rectangular sectioned shaft, 10mm long, which has a slightly rounded upper surface. This terminates with a rectangular shaped plate, 20mm x 18mm, which has two semi-circular nicks removed from its outer edge, forming and edge which looks like a three pronged fork. The reverse of the shaft is flat and has a rectangular scar in its centre, which could be from a catch plate?
