It has a slightly irregular form and a tapering, pointed outer edge. It has been filed on both surfaces. These are common but undated finds, which may be connecting loops for a number of purposes.

It has rounded edges and a slight raised lip on both sides. On one side it has also a distinct sub rectangular depression with two linear parallel depressions running along its central area. Undated copper alloy weight, 42mm long, 12mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 8.97g. The weight is ovoid in form and sub rectangular in cross section and has an integral ovoid suspenion loop at one end. The opposite end elongates slightly, forming a tear drop shape. The object has been roughly cast and whilst it is probably a weight, this cannot be confirmed. The surface has been affected by iron staining due to the presence of large amounts of ironstone in the ground. The colour otherwise could suggest a medieval or later date.

It has a sub triangular shaped 'blade' which appears incomplete, This measures 18mm by 16mm and curves into a rectangular sectioned straight shaft which tapers very gently in width to a curved projecting 'prong' which is 9mm long, 6mm wide and 4mm thick at the tip. Its form is similar to post medieval rope effect brooches, but there is no evidence for fittings. It could be also be part of a torc or similar early item of jewellery, but there is no sign of any terminals etc that could date it.
