A copper alloy bead of unknown date.
The object is spherical with a semi-circular collar surrounding the aperture on both the top and bottom sides. The edges of the bead are decorated with a moulded decoration that runs around the circumferences and consists of alternating diagonal ridges with raised triangles in between.
Numerous copper alloy beads have been recorded with a variety of date ranges suggested and are therefore difficult to date without a secure stratified context, and thus a wide date range has been suggested.

Circular amber bead of neat regular shape, a thick sub-oval in cross-section with a central hole drilled down the middle.
Amber beads are very difficult to date. They are reasonably common from Bronze Age to Early Medieval contexts, although a Roman date is perhaps the most likely in this instance.
