Lead spindle whorl made from a thick flat disc with rounded corners. In the centre is a hole that is 8mm in diameter. There is a linear indentation running from the outside edge towards the towards the centre, stopping just before the central hole. Plain spindle whorls and weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards and are hard to date precisely.

This is a lead spindle whorl that is roughly conical in form with an off-centre hole. Running around the circumference of the piece at its mid-point is a raised band bisected by eight downwardly protruding lines. Further raised, short and seemingly random lines adorned the head of the object. lead spindle whorls and weights were cast locally from the Roman period to the Post Medieval Period, therefore making them hard to date precisely.

Lead circular disc gaming token. diameter 37mm, thickness 11mm weight over 60g (weight excided the scales). This is a low conical in cross section, on the flat underside is an engraved double banded cross that has a zigzag line in the centre. In each angle is a series of radiating lines that emanate from the centre. On the upper side is a series of seemingly random engraved lines that have a passing resemblance to runes. Date 1100-1700
