Copper alloy awl/point. The artefact is a long thin rod that is split into two sections. The first section is the forward edge, has a pointed tip that expands to a waist in the centre of the rod; this section has a circular cross-section.  The rear half is thinner than the forward section and has a rectangular cross-section with a flat terminal, this section would most likely have formed a tang that was inserted into a handle.

Unidentified object comprising of a copper alloy plate that has a highly decorated face shown in relief and consists of a triangular panel that has a double liner border and pellet/stippled interior. Flanking the triangle and then extending forward are two elongated lozenges that converge at the top where there is a globular stop. Traces of a linear border are visible on both sides at the base of the plate. Unfortunately, all sides of the plate are truncated so the original size of the piece and scope of the decoration are difficult to ascertain.

This object is a fragmented thick rectangular box item that only partly survives. Speculatively this could be the broken arm of a cross, however, no corroborating examples have been found to verify this hypothesis. The remaining item has a wide terminal that narrows from 18mm thick at its tip to 15mm at its remaining section (13mm down its length). The object comprises of a ceramic core of very fine creamy clay. This is then surrounded by a lead layer 2mm thick which is then encased in a sheet copper alloy skin, which is now broken on the corners. The sides of this item are hi…

A copper alloy bead of unknown date. The object is spherical with a semi-circular collar surrounding the aperture on both the top and bottom sides. The edges of the bead are decorated with a moulded decoration that runs around the circumferences and consists of alternating diagonal ridges with raised triangles in between. Numerous copper alloy beads have been recorded with a variety of date ranges suggested and are therefore difficult to date without a secure stratified context, and thus a wide date range has been suggested.

Copper alloy ingot fragment that was originally circular in plan and plano-convex in profile. The forward edge is curved and follows the original profile of the item, from the curvature of this edge is estimated that the ingot may have originally had a diameter of between 14-19cm. The sides and rear edge have been cut resulting in them having a smooth vertical edge, presumably on order to divide up the metal into more manageable portions.
