An incomplete piece of copper-alloy casting waste, probably dating from the Roman to Medieval periods (c. 43-1500). It consists of the solidified metal around the original mould-mouth, with the remains of five runners extending downwards from it before truncating. Preserved in fair condition with an even green patina, it measures 25.78mm long, 9.96mm wide, and 8.96mm thick at between the body and furthest point of the longest runner. It weighs 2.76g.
