A possible Early Medieval (Viking) to Modern gold ingot/hack gold, dated to the mid 9th to mid 20th Centuries, AD 850-2000. The ingot is roughly sub-rectangular in shape with one end rounded and the other broken and flat. Dimensions: length: 13.14mm; width: 9.67mm; thickness: 5.83mm; weight: 4.16g. Gold ingots are traditionally difficult to date out of context but they are often attributed to a Viking date.
