A complete copper-alloy pin dating from the Roman to medieval periods. The pin has a flat circular head, on which little decoration remains aside from a faint beaded border inset slightly from the edge on one face. Striations are present on both faces. The head narrows to a collar of two transverse mouldings, which are only present on the front, before extending to the shaft. The shaft is circular in cross-section and is bent just below the midway point. A complete copper alloy bead of uncertain date, probably Bronze Age to Roman c.AD 43 - 410. The bead is sub-biconical with a central perforation through the centre. A series of striations are present around the perimeter, close to the apex. Similar beads on the database include ESS-975247, SUR-131CBB, ASHM-377F8C, LEIC-3641F5, SOM-DA2D9C although these have a slightly more pronounced conical shape than this example. It is D-shaped in cross-section, with flattened side edges, and is sub-rectangular in plan. It tapers slightly towards its intact terminal, and the other terminal exhibits a worn break.
