A lead and copper-alloy composite object of uncertain date. Description: The object take the shape of a square topped shield. The bottom is rounded. It is thin and straight sided. On one side is a copper-alloy sheet entirely adherring to it. It has been cleaned and its not clear as to what was originally on it. Despite the cleaning there is some evidence based on consistant patterning that it may have been originally decorated although as what is uncertain. The cleaned copper-alloy is clear bright coppery orange. The lead is light white to off grey. Measurements:

A knapped retouched flake probably of late neolithic to - Iron Age date Description: The flake is irregularly shaped. It has rough flaking with very short scaled semi-abrupt retouch on the top of one edge, angled to the ventral side. The bulb of percussion is very subtle though the flaking is very pronounced indicating mixed striking. Measurements: 39.32mm long, 27.91mm wide, 8.47mm thick and 9.8g in weight.

A knapped retouched flake probably of late neolithic to - Iron Age date Description: The flake is roughly sub-triangle in shape. It has rough flaking with very short scaled semi-abrupt retouch on the top of one edge, angled to the ventral side. The bulb of percussion is very pronounced with heavy rippling indicating hard hammer striking. Measurements: 29mm long, 23.17mm wide, 7.32mm thick and 4.45g in weight.

An irregular sherd of hard fired coarsware of uncertain date. It has a very hard fired surface leaving it pink with spar large angular flint inclusions and black sandy grit speckles moderately throughout. A strip of sheet lead alloy folded around a small fragment of sheet lead of uncertain date. Description: The sheet leaded is folded over on itself from one end and sealed shut with iron staples, forming a rough square. Two fragments of undated ferrous slag. The fragments are irregularly shaped with a slight patches of vitreous areas. Both frags have some rusty patches, one is much darker than the other perhaps due to increased carbon. Fragment 1: 37.49mm high, 35.39mm wide, 27.46mm thick and 31g in weight Fragment 2: 48.85mm long, 34.45mm wide, 21mm thick and 26.54g in weight. Both frags found in the vicinity of metalworking objects including ingots and crucible.

A gold, finger ingot of uncertain date, probably prehistoric. Description: The ingot is sub-rectangular in plan, with rounded ends. It has a shallow D-shaped cross-section with slight dishing along this face. One end also has dip and pellet in likely indicating the ingate or pouring point of the molten metal into the mould for the ingot.
