A complete pair of copper-alloy tweezers possibly Roman in date, however a medieval date cannot be ruled out. The tweezers are made from a single sheet of copper alloy which has been folded over on itself at a defined loop to form a sprung end. The arms of the tweezers flare out gradually along the length (3.5mm at the loop end, 5mm at the tip); these have been bent out of alignment. The tweezers are rectangular in cross section. There is no decoration. The tweezers are 49.6mm in length, 0.9mm in thickness and weigh 3.43g.
