Incomplete lead alloy object of uncertain date, c.AD 43-1800. The remaining piece is mainly formed of a rectangular cross sectioned bar with rounded ends and a projection to one side near one end. The front is decorated with five evenly spaced deeply stamped annulets. The projection to one side starts a similar, although slightly thicker rectangular cross sectioned bar before ending in a squared off ends with a much thinner piece continuing backwards and curled under. There is a circularl hole running through the centre expanding towards the base. The sides are plain with no clear decoration, although worn and slightly irregular. There is a oval hole runing through the centre and seven evenly spaced grooves running down the sides. It is 17.8mm in diameter, 8.8mm thick and weights 9.35g, the hole is 6.3 by 5.5mm across. Fragment of a cast lead-alloy item, possibly part of the rim from a large vessel such as a box. The fragment is flat and broadly rectangular, one long edge appears complete and is slghtly convex curved, the other is probably an old break. Cast lead vessel repair (pot mend). It is roughly oval in plan and H-shaped in section with two irregularly shaped outer sides, one much larger than the other, joined by a smaller central section. The smaller side is slightly convex and was probably on the outerside of the pot. In the 1.4-1.8mm wide groove created between the outer sides there is a patch of material which appears to be iron pan rather than the original pot, unless the pot was of iron which has completely rusted leaving no metallic material remaining. Piece of lead alloy, probably casting waste. the piece is sub oval with one almost straight edge with irregular indents in it, rounded ends and a more convex curved edge. One face is flat and irregular. The other is convex with the thickest point running as a curved ridge from end to end. The part of this side between the ridge and the straighter edge is a slope while between the ridge and the convex edge it is a convex curved in profile. The weight is a truncated cone with a sub-circular flat base from which the sides taper inwards to the flattened round topped terminal. The sides are slightly angular with four convex sides meeting in rounded corners. The terminal has a circular piercing through it for suspension. Opaque turquoise blue glass bead of uncertain date. The bead is oval in plan and circular in section with slight rims around the holes. It has a rough sided hole c.2.4mm in diameter running though it. It is 8.9mm long and 9.2mm in diameter and weighs 0.89 grams. Irregularity in the shape and a spiralling grain suggest it was made by being wound on a pontil.
