A black, probably jet, bead of either probably of Roman or Victorian date, possibly Late Neolithic or Bronze Age. The fusiform (barrel shaped) bead is circular in section with flat ends and convex centre. Mid-way between the middle and each end is a pair of incised transverse lines running around the bead. A slightly off centre hole has been drilled through. It is 28.1mm long, 15.3mm in diameter at the centre and weighs 4.26 grams. The hole is 3.8mm internally and one end and 3.0mm at the other.
