Fourteen iron nails or parts of nails, all very heavily corroded and collectively weighing 172.29g. The three longest are c.58mm in length with oval or circular heads, c.17mm wide max. Of the remainder at least four others are broken along the shank, and those that retain heads are similarly oval or circular and of similar size. An undatable (but probably Medieval or Post-Medieval) copper alloy crude, flat, circular and openwork object measuring 21.20x20.25x2.29mm and weighing 4.12g. It is rather worn. The object depicts a central cross (one of the arms of which is almost worn through) within a circle, defined by four ovoid cut-outs. The edges are irregular but worn smooth, and in one place appears cut straight.

A fragment of undatable copper alloy ring or possible armlet consisting of just less than half, with one worn break and one less-worn. The fragment measures 69.44mm in length, 27.47mm in width and weighs 23.59g. The worn break is oval in cross-section (6.91x6.09mm) and has corrosion product on the surface. A Mesolithic to Neolithic (8300-2100 BC) rather crude flint probable axehead, and possibly a tranchet axehead. It is asymmetrical in cross-section with one convex face and one rather flatter face with a large hump at one edge. The axehead measures 146.65x62.49x31.13mm and weighs c.320g (in excess of the 300g precision balance and weighed on postal scales instead). Two incomplete and probably Roman iron hobnails, with broken square-sectioned shafts. One has a conical, rectangular head (9.97x6.06x4.21mm), its overall length is 11.88mm and it weighs 0.81g. The other has a square conical head (8.44x7.83x4.14mm), its overall length is 14.26mm and it weighs 1.16g. The shaft is bent towards the end. Although it is rare for iron nails to survive for a prolonged period, this size and shape conforms to known examples of Roman hobnails.

The object is openwork and square in shape, with a U-shaped inward projection on two opposing sides, creating an openwork-H at the centre. To one of the other edges is a broken stump, 3.74x2.50mm. The fragment is just possibly from a Late Early-Medieval (900-1100) copper alloy slide key for use with a padlock, of type C variant, consisting of the bit and small stump of stem only, but not enough survives to give a more certain identification.
