An undatable Hammerstone formed on a rounded flint nodule, measuring 53.71x40.25x39.22mm and weighing 108g. There are areas of use wear (battering) at the other end and along the sides, with unused areas also on the sides where the object was held in use. This object is probably prehistoric, but such stones have also been found in later contexts (e.g. Roman) and it is difficult to be certain of the date. Date: Prehistoric (Mesolithic to Bronze Age) - c 8300 - 800 BC.

An undatable (but probably Medieval to Post-Medieval) copper alloy multi-purpose ring, variously both square and D-shaped in cross-section, and measuring 26.84mm in diameter (internal 19.08mm) and weighing 3.4g. All surfaces of the ring show tooling marks and it is in places unfinished with an uneven casting flash. The patina is smooth, shiny and brown in colour where it survives, suggesting it has rubbed against a leather strap. Rings like these are numerous and would have been multi-purpose, eg.for hanging keys from a belt etc.
