An incomplete copper-alloy probable mount of uncertan date. The artefact takes the form of a thin, sub-oval plate of which perhaps around 50% now survives, assuming both ends are identical, which is not necessarily the case. The plate was perhaps of elongated oval form, with at least one somewhat squared off short end; indeed, only one terminal and is abraded. On the reverse of the mount is an integral rivet set centrally at the surviving short end. From this end the object gradually widens before narrowing again; it has broken in a sligtly jagged fashion beyond this widest point.…

A damaged copper-alloy object, presumably incomplete, of uncertain function and date. It is broadly tubular - hollow, with a square cross-section with rounded corners. At one of the shorter ends the 'tube' appears to have been pinched closed. At the other terminal the outer edge is slightly bevelled suggesting a finished end, though there is a small loss. A cast lead spindle whorl or possibly weight. It is broadly conical with a flattened top and base with a slightly tapering circular hole running through the centre. It has received some slight abrasions at the top. It is 22.5 mm in diameter at the base, 15.5 mm at the top, it is 10 mm high and weighs 28.20 g; the hole is 7.5 mm in diameter at the base, 7 mm at the top. Plain spindle whorls and weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards and such plain and rough examples are hard to date precisely although most are late medieval - post-medieval.

A flat copper-alloy disc of uncertain date and function. The disc has a large triangular aperture whose long apexes almost reach the circumference. Perpendicular to these latter are two small rivet holes; both are at the circumference and have abraded through so that the rivets are lost. The metal generally has a grey patina with some light-green encrustations. The object measures 33.9mm in diameter and 1.3mm in thickness. It weighs 4.56g. It has been slightly twisted in profile.

It has a deep longitudinal score mark central on both faces. It is otherwise dented and scratched all over. It measures 24.3 by 13.4mm at the base, and is 55.6mm high; it weighs 114.25g. As such, it it close to, but slightly over, the 113.4g equivalent of a quarter pound weight under the avoirdupois system (Egan 1998, 302; Table 14).

A fragment from the top of a bell of unknown date. The suspension loop is rounded a perforated. It is recessed on both sides compared to the top of the bell. From the few vestiges that survive the bell appears circular rather than faceted, and is fairly solidly cast. The breaks are ragged and old. There is a possible trace of iron corrosion product internally below the loop. The fragment is 20.5mm long, up to 15.9mm wide and up to 12.3mm thick; it weigh 6.99 grams.

A iron wedge-shaped object of unknown date. It is of elongated sub-trapezoidal form with elaboration at the wide end. The narrow end is c. 13.6mm wide. From this the piece expands gradually in width along its length to attain a maximum width of 36.5mm. Two pieces of copper-alloy casting waste. They are both slightly concave as though they have fomed on a surface. Though with irregular sides both are broadly of quadrilateral form. Both surfaces of both pieces are rough with cooling lines suggesting they were formed from molton metal. The pieces are not distinctive and could be of any date from the Bronze Age onwards although they are evidence for specialist, high temperature, metal working.

It is formed of a flat rectangular arm with rectangular cross-section, broken transversely following old damage and also bent upwards at the break. A lead item formed of two truncated biconical elements attached together, both flat at the top. A median ridge on the exterior is visible, filed down in places. A large circular hole at a slight angle travels through the centre of the object measuring up to 14.9mm in diameter. The surface colour of this object is greyer than white suggesting a relatively recent date, although an earlier date cannot be ruled out entirely.
