A large lead alloy artefact of unknown function and date. The lead is broadly rectangular in shape with one slightly pointed end, in cross section it is rectangular with a circumferential groove running around the edge in places. Given the size and unusual H shaped cross section it is possibly it maybe a large stopper or possibly a pot mend. The artefact measures: 63.4mm length, 31.8mm width, 9.6mm thick and weighs 107.40grams

An irregular folded and possibly melted fragment of yellow coloured metal, most probably gold, possibly once being a hammered gold coin. The metal is a mid-yellow gold colour. Another interpretation could possibly be metalworking residue. Due to the nature of the find it is undiagnostic and un-datable, but most likely to be medieval or later. Due to the undiagnostic nature of this find and uncertainty over dating it would not qualify as potential treasure under the 1996 Treasure Act.
