Cast lead or lead alloy weight of probable medieval or post medieval date (1300 - 1700). The weight is sub-circular in plan and sub-triangular (conical) in cross section. Through the centre of the weight is a vertical hole which is circular (4.4mm) at the base . This hole may have had a wire or cord passing through it to aid safe-keeping and storage. The weight is undecorated although the sides are heavily worn and partially faceted. It is a mid grey colour with an even patina that covers all surfaces.
