Two fragments of sheep-sized animal bone.
Neither fragment can be confidently identified to species or element, but would have likely come from the long bone of a sheep-sized animal.
Fragment 1 measures 32.14mm long, 10.70mm wide, 3.29mm thick and weighs 1.3 grams.
Fragment 2 measures 19.57mm long, 21.06mm wide, 5.55mm thick and weighs 1.5 grams.
Both fragments together weigh 2.8 grams.
Both fragments exhibit signs of abrasion and post-mortem damage. No butchery marks or evidence of working are present.
These fragments could be of any date…
