A probable strap-fitting of probably either Roman or post-medieval date. It consists of a broadly rectangular plate from one end of which emerges a T-shaped bar. The plate slightly and gradually tapers to a terminal at the other end in the form of a fleur-de-lis. The lis has a rounded central lobe with two smaller, connected side lobes below.
