Two (2) conjoined sheets of heavily leaded copper-alloy of uncertain date. The fragments are irregularly shaped with worn breaks to all edges. No identifying features are present. An unidentified, copper alloy artefact of unknown date, Roman to Post Medieval, AD 43 - 1700. It is a strip of sheet copper alloy, which is broken at both ends. The long edges are gently curved so the strip is wider in the middle. There is a near right angle bend near each end. These are probably original, because the decoration on the centre of the strip stops short of the bends. The decoration is a pair of simple wide longitudinal grooves. The strip is 13.5mm long, 6mm wide and 6.6mm thick. It weighs 0.4g. It has a bright bluish green patina and is smooth and glossy.
