An incomplete cast lead alloy anthropomorphic figurine of uncertain but possibly Roman date but there are no clear parallels. There is no evidence of drapery and the figure appears to be naked and male although the sexual organs are not defined.. He stands fully facing but with few details. The head is round but has no discernible features. The body is plain with the remains of one arm extended and the other probably missing. The legs are rudimentary with the bases missing. Shares some similarities with YORYM-8FE007, LVPL-E54C5A and SWYOR-B7DE82. The length is 62mm, the width is 22…

A complete copper alloy figurine, of uncertain dating. The figurine is anthropomorphic (human like), consisting of a standing cowled figure with what appears to be an attachment in the middle centre left. The head is globular. No facial details remain. In style could be Romano-British but there are no clear parallels. The style appears to be more likely Medieval bearing some resemblance with Irish matrona figurines although it could just as easily be a sphelter art deco representation of an earlier type of figurine. There is an aperture on the reverse which may have been for a stand o…

A cast copper alloy figurine, probably of Cupid, probably dating from the Roman period 43-410 AD. It is male and has a chubby rounded face with round eyes, but most of the features are worn. He seems to have shoulder length hair and possible wings project from his shoulders. These are broken, just leaving stubs. The breaks are worn and patinated. The right arm and left arms appear to be extended to the side. The torso is covered by a short piece of drapery hanging from the right shoulder. It is not long enough to cover his genetalia. The buttocks are moulded, as are the legs. The righ…
