A probably complete copper alloy composite pin or stud, possibly of Roman date. The head is globular with a slightly raised sub-circular section on its upper surface suggesting that it is comprised of two separate pieces. The stem is sub-circular in section and tapers slightly. Though it is short, there is little evidence of a break, and so the object appears to be complete. Similar in size and form to an example illustrated by Bishop (1996, p.17, fig.9, no.41). PAS record SOM-356AF1 shows a similar example. Length: 21.4mm, diameter: 9.5mm, weight: 4.2g
