Incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch from the Roman period, dating to 75-175 AD. The pin and catch plate are missing. It is a hinge type. The axis bar through the pin is visible. The foot is also missing. There is a wider waist ornamentation with circular mouldings. The mouldings appear to have been infilled. Above and below the waist are pairs of horizontal rings and grooves. The surface of the object has a green patina in places, most noticeably the head and waist ornamentation. There is a ridge on the inside, running from the waist to the lower end of the object.

An incomplete lead alloy salt pan probably dating to the Roman period. The salt pan is folded and fragmented. The salt pan appears to be the base, which would have been rectangular when complete with the sides missing. There is no visible stamp or inscription on the object. The object measures 540mm in width.

A copper alloy mount probably dating to the Roman period. The object is ciruclar in plan with a flat undecorated reverse. The front of the obejct is decorated with a raised moulded face, possibly depicting Medusa. The oval face has a rounded chin, full lips and a rounded projecting nose. The eyes a worn but appear to be sunken. The hair is moulded in the form of wavy strands which run down to the chin.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of Polden Hill type dating to the 1st century AD.
The head and foot of the brooch has been damaged in recent times. The wings are rounded and incomplete. The brooch tapers from the damaged head in width towards the foot. A vertical decorative panel runs down the centre of the object which is decorated with transverse grooves.
Dimensions: 24mm in length, 12mm in width, 2.30g
Examples of brooches with similar decoration can be found in Hattatt (2000), p300, fig.159.

Probably a copper alloy dupondius of Antoninus Pius (AD 138-61), dating to AD 140-44 (Reece Period 7), [ROMAE AETERNAE, S C], Temple with ten columns. Mint of Rome. An incomplete copper alloy Roman headstud brooch (AD c. 75 - c. 200).
The head of the brooch consists of two rectangular wings, decorated with two lozenges (one above the other) on each wing. The bow tapers in width tapering in an ancient break above the foot, and has a circular, ring-and-dot 'headstud' moulding at the apex of the bow. The recess between the central dot and the ring may have once held enamel. The bow of the brooch is decorated with a series of central lozenge shaped cells. An incomplete lead alloy salt pan of Roman date. The object consists of two halves of a salt pan of flattened lead alloy each of which are rectangular in plan with a folded rectangular rim along two edges. The remaining two edges on each half appear to have been cut in what appears to be a deliberate way.

A copper alloy pin of Roman to medieval date. The object has a hexagonal perforated loop with integral pin. It tapers to a point which has broken during antiquity. Beneath the loop is a small projection. The pin has a mid-green patina.

The pin would probably have been attached to a brooch however use on a buckle is also possible.

A cast lead alloy pendant of uncertain date. The object is oval in plan and the upper surface is decorated with ten punched ring-and-dot motifs. Each motif has a central raised dot (or pellet) surrounded by a raised ring within a circular depression. At the top of the object is a small rectangular perforation though which the object may have been suspended. However it may also be a punch mark or a nail hole.
