An incomplete copper alloy Roman hinged plate brooch of 1st century AD date. The plate is flat and sub-circular in shape, tapering towards a pointed terminal at the base, which is now missing due to old breaks. In addition to the terminal at the base of the brooch, approximately one quarter of the upper half of the brooch is missing due to an old break, as are any knops or projections that may once have existed around the periphery of the plate. Four copper alloy Roman coins, probably nummi of 4th century AD date with a combined weight of 4.47g. Obverses and reverses of all four coins are illegible. 1) Diameter of 15.76mm and weighs 1.59g. 2) Diameter of 13.47mm and weighs 0.81g. 3) Diameter of 16.41mm and weighs 1.18g. 4) Diameter of 11.87mm and weighs 0.89g. This coin is possibly a late 4th century example.

The lower half of an incomplete copper alloy Roman Hod Hill brooch. Part of the bow, the foot and part of the catchplate are preserved, the remainder missing due to old breaks. The bow is oval shaped in section with a flattened back and lozenge shaped in plan. It is decorated on the exterior face with a vertical line of punched dots that run down the middle of the bow to the foot. There are also traces of an added white metal coating, as well as damage to both sides of the bow presumably caused whilst the object was in the ground. An incomplete and worn copper alloy Roman bow brooch, Colchester type, dating to the first century AD. The brooch is missing the spring, parts of the wings, and catchplate due to old breaks. It has the remains of two short and flat wings, with part of the integral spring projecting backwards from the point where the two wings meet.
