Roman copper alloy mount, possibly a strap fitting, 31mm long, 33mm high, 25mm wide (at loop) and 4mm thick (at projection) with a weight of 23.90g. The object consists of a circular cross sectioned D shaped loop which has a sub rectangular projection along its flat edge. This plate when viewed from the back has a wider lower portion and the loop merges into this. Above the loop is a slight horizontal step and the remainder of the plate forms the body of a horse. It has a flat circular base below a short tapered neck. Above this the object is 'acorn' like with a rounded collar below a domed top. The object is a decoartive terminal or handle of some sort.

Roman copper alloy mount or terminal 30mm long, 13mm wide and 14mm thick with a weight of 19.76grams. The object is sub spherical in form and cross section and represents a human head with a flat angular chin and underside, with a circular cross sectioned shaft emerging from this base. It has a face formed in relief with rather triangular eyes, projecting nose and hint of a mouth. It is wearing a crested cap or helmet with raised linear ridges running down each side and converging at the base, below the end of the crest.

It is openwork, consisting of a rounded frame which contains a central transverse bar. From the border two C shaped scolls extend, touching the central bar. The reverse has two circular sectioned rivets emerging from under the frame.

The wider part forms the rounded chin of a male? face with the upper flatter area forming the hair. The face is flat and is represented with incised oval eyes with round inserts for pupils, formed of another metal, being brown on an otherwise green object. Copper alloy mount of probable Roman date. The outer face has an open section in the middle formed from drilled holes punched through to form a single hole. A similar effect occurs at one end suggesting that the mount was originally longer with another similar section. The outer face is decorated with an engraved ring and dot pattern. There are two attachment holes, one above the other, at each end filled with iron corrosion (?). Length: 44.0mm, width: 14.0mm, thickness: 3.0mm, Weight 7.47g

The mount represents a phallus and consists of a circular base plate which has a circular sectioned short fixing prong emerging from the centre on one side. The other has a circular sectioned shaft projecting from the plate which tapers to a triangular point about two thirds down its length. On one side, near the base, are two small spherical projections.

Roman copper alloy mount or stud, 12mm in diameter and 4mm high. The object is in fair condition and weighs 1.74grams. It is circular in form and semi-circular in section. It has a flat base with a centrally placed scar of a shaft. It supper surface is decorated with enamel cells. A central circular cell with red enamel is surrounded by seven sub triangular cells which are alternately filled with blue and white enamel. The object is possibly from a brooch or is a decorative stud, possibly for furniture?

Roman copper alloy harness mount, 50mm long, 41mm wide and 1.5mm thick. The object is in good condition and weighs 10grams. The object is incomplete but is formed of a crescentic plate sitting in a rectangular openwork border with semi-circular protrusions either side of its corners. At its lower centre there is a fluer like protrusion and at the centre of the existing side is a kidney shaped border with afluer like motif in its centre. Given the size of the object it is probably a harness mount, rather than an apron fitting.

The object consists of a rectangular sectioned shaft with a rounded end containing a circular hole. Below this is a slight linear protrusion on one face. 10mm down the shaft it becomes circular and is marked with two raised bands. Below this the object flattens out into a sub oval plate which has incomplete edges.

It consists of two rectangular plates which are joined by a small rectangular sheet which has been folded over so each plate is aligned an dthe small plate can hold a circular sectioned bar of some sort. There are two round holes and one intact circular rivet, centrally placed, in the plates.

Late Roman or Early Medieval mount fragment, 25mm long, 9mm wide and 1mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 0.79grams. It is sub triangular in form and has one definite edge which is folded over on itself for strength? The object has a copper alloy rivet at its narrow end, here it is 3mm wide, and from this point its surface is decorated with two lines of punched semi circles, which appear to follow its edges. The object widens out and has a further decoration of punched circles just appearing in the centre. The object may be part of an edging or a decorative mount?
