Fragment of an unidentified copper alloy object, possibly a pinhead of Roman date. The head is a solid oval globule with a flat oval collar below. A narrowed shank of circular section extends below the collar, and leads into a second collar of smaller diameter than the first. The base is incomplete and worn, but traces of a shank of circular section are visible below.

A Roman copper alloy pin. The pin has a flat reeled head, below which are three faceted globular knops each separated by a reel. Each knop and reel tapers in size towards the shank. Below the final reel are four circular moulded bands from the bottom of which extends a shank of circular section. The shank extends circa 23.7mm and appears to be more or less complete. A Roman copper-alloy hair pin. The pin has a globular head on a spool. The shaft is circular in section and is broken shortly below. This pin belongs to Crummy's (1983, 28) Type 2 ('pins with heads of bead, reel and spool motifs surmounted by a flattened sphere'), which are of early 2nd century to 3rd century date. A possible Roman copper alloy pin. All that survives is a short length of shank of circular section. At the top there is a rectangular collar with a concave waist. Extending from the top of this collar is a narrow shank of rectangular section. This item somewhat resembles the series of Roman pins that contain cockerels at the top. These animals are often depicted standing on a pedestal, such as YORYM-1E9870, HAMP-2D1DA7, LIN-AE15C1.
